Shaxpir 4.6.1 Released: Background Auto Update, and Book Export Fixed

Today, we’re releasing a new version of Shaxpir (4.6.1) which includes the following enhancements:

• A new release for Mac OS operating systems, with a native build for Apple Silicon machines (M1 and M2 processors).
• A new Background AutoUpdate architecture, which allows the desktop app to seamlessly check the server for updates in the background while you work, and apply those updates upon the next launch without any interaction from the user. In most cases, it will no longer be necessary to download an entirely new installer.
• This release also includes a bugfix for a problem where the application hangs or crashes when exporting a book as an EPUB or DOCX file.

We are still investigating a few Known Issues:

• Some users have reported their content disappearing when logging in after the new update. We have confirmed that the data is still in the cloud, but we’re still working on a fix that links the missing content back into the appropriate user accounts.
• We are also still investigating an issue with password-resets interfering with the latest software updates.
